Stressed? Pregnant and stressed? Want to learn how to un-stress? Need a tool to help you or your child unwind? Although we all use the phrase, “I am stressed out!” as a coping mechanism, sustaining this unsettling state is damaging to our mental and physical body. Many people who become victims to stress tend to fall into anxiety and/ or depression. When a woman is pregnant there is heightened awareness to her experience. Many brush this off as “Oh, it is the hormones again!” when in reality it is a magnification of her feelings in that moment. The biology and chemistry of the hormones supports the emotional state of a person, yet there is something deeper that can be extracted from this acute sensitivity to life. Childhood, pregnancy, menstruation, and menopause serve as a de-veiling of truth, so to speak. We see this in children all the time; they tell it like it is without hesitation. Women have a direct access to this Truth by the nature of our receptive energy. We are open to receiving more easily, and there are specific time in our lives where the Truth antenna is particularly more sensitive; pregnancy, menstruation, and menopause. This Truth can reflect a deep desire to be treated a particular way, to experience life differently, to live more intimately, to love more, to have more, etc. Feeling stressed is just the indicator that the outer physical reality at the present time is not in alignment with the inner True soul desire. A woman is not blowing up because of the hormones, she is screaming because at her core she knows the current situation is not reflecting what she wants, and she is frustrated because she lacks the tools to transform the situation. It is vital to our existence and the spiritual evolution of mankind for us to embrace our receptive, feminine qualities. The veil of Truth presents itself to us during these times of hormonal perfection, so that we can take action in the direction we desire. Each female cycle allows us for new chance to start fresh. The pregnancy allows us to midwife a new Mother and to create a birth and child like no other. Menopause brings us the possibility of gently closing the cycle of life on our terms. The Fetal and Neonatal Stress Research Group has found that stress and anxiety can negatively impact the fetus and may have long term effects, including hyperactivity. What are we to do? How can we transform and support the healthy development of the baby and still honor the gift of the emotion at hand? How do we teach our children to embrace their feelings and still look for the deeper truth hidden? Answer: Meditate and Relax! Neuroscientists at the University of Wisconsin have been studying the effects of meditation. They discovered that long-time meditation practitioners showed high amplitude gamma waves (associated with conscious perception, learning and focus) in the left prefrontal cortex (area of the brain found to be associated with feelings of well-being, anti depressant activity, and inhibition of fear and anxiety). These gamma waves maintained high levels of activity even after meditation in experienced meditation practitioners, concluding that there are long term positive effects of this practice. Meditation for a pregnant woman can be as simple as thinking about her baby as she sips her tea. Or it can be simply relaxing as we daydream about being on a hammock in a Caribbean beach. Relaxation and meditation produce alpha waves in the brain. These waves are associated with reduced stress and better immune system; all good components for a healthy pregnancy and life. Modifying these tools for children can also bring a sense of well-being and peace. A simple practice of relaxing the mind at the end of the day can introduce children to a self-moderating technique that can encourage introspection, mindfulness, and confidence. Relaxing into Sleep Audio Exercise Below is a simple exercise to do before going to sleep. This audio was designed for children over three-years-old, and can be modified for anyone. It is a complete body relaxation starting from the feet and ending with the top of the head. It also includes honoring each part of the body and offering extra support or love to those areas needed. This exercise consists of surfacing emotions that are currently obstacles to maintaining a blissful state. Then, locating the emotion in the body, grounding the emotion into Mother Earth, allowing Mother Earth to transform the emotion and replace it with positive and nurturing state. Followed by locating that transformation in the body, and ascending the abundance of positive emotion as an offering the Sky/ Cosmos. Finally, you visualize receiving the offering in its highest vibrational state after being transformed by the Cosmos. As you visualize and create the infinity sign, with your body being the anchor where the loops meet: Step1: Sense emotion and location in body Step2: Send to Mother Earth Step3: Hits the core of Mother Earth to transform Step4: Return as transformed/ positive state Step5: Offer to the Sky/Cosmos Step6: Returns in the highest vibrational state Example: 1: Feeling jealous of what other have and sensing where in the body this jealousy and sadness are trapped 2: Ground the jealousy and sadness down to mother earth; sending feeling of lack of abundance down to Mother Earth to transform 3: Returns as Abundance of specific item. It can also return as the feeling you think you would have if you had this item/ attribute, hence returning as Joy. (Emotion comes back to same point on body to complete one loop of the infinity symbol) 4: Offer Abundance or Joy up to the Sky/ Cosmos, in gratitude 5: Returns back to you as Peace and Knowing that all is provided )Completing the second loop of the infinity symbol) These two techniques are easy to use and each person can discover their own intuitive answers as they process emotions and desires. Typically, I lead Descending-Ascending-Infinity Healing so that each client has the opportunity to benefit from my perception. However, I highly encourage people to use their own intuition as a guide throughout the session. As long as each person stays open to receiving the appropriate perception, the focus of this exercise can bring about healing.

The exact moment in which personal accountability, desire and Divine power meet is a gift that childbirth can bring. After experiencing her own power and humility to life simultaneously (during her second daughter's birth), she could not go back to her life as it was. After giving birth just the way she wanted, she knew that having what she wanted in life was possible. She found that the secret was doing her best and then surrendering to a Power greater than herself to receive the highest form of what she desires. (and then to be surprised with the outcome!) Asha is dedicated to walking on this journey with all women willing to embrace that they are vessels to great love and deserve their hearts desire. Asha believes that our children are demanding that we parent with heart, and this begins at birth. She has taken her scientific background, spiritual practice and her passion to deliver grounded, yet transforming materials and perspectives.
